I got tired of having no way to configure the backup weather station. A few times when this happened, I determined which URL WWL was trying to access, and I found I could manually access it. I got tired of error messages saying my preferred weather station was inaccessible. I got tired of trying to figure out-and report to Mike Singer-why the temperatures I was seeing for some stations were 7F or 8F different from others, and just as different from my own outside thermometer. Singer, when there's a tornado warning in my area, IT MATTERS to me that I look at alert info for the right area! Not only do I have to verify date/time, I have to verify and correct the area.

I got tired of opening a weather alert and being taken to a web page for a different ZIP code and/or a different city. It's too inconvenient to check a date and time and compare that to the current date/time to ensure it's timely.

Too many times I didn't check and thus trusted info that was actually hours old. I got tired of having to check, EVERY SINGLE TIME, if the weather info was timely. Speaking of time and energy, I have not enough of either to go into all my reasons, but I can mention a few: I wasted far too much time and energy trying to get it to work, and I give up. I respected Mike Singer for his efforts, but his efforts have fallen short for my taste.

I fought the good fight trying to post positive reviews, but I give up. I have dropped this application permanently-and I mean literally for life I will never try it again. I retract all the positive things I said previously about WWL.

No need to add further reviews as users can - There are 27 of them - All 5 star ~ (28 - 'Weather Watcher Live includes a lot of weather data that cannot be accessed on free websites' - That is simply not true, at least in the UK at least ~ I can find just about any facet of weather to the second using the many free accurate weather sites that are run by those interested in meteorology & also the governmental sites, I have around 50 in my bookmarks, just for the UK with far more for EU & world weather ~Īnd it's unfair to stick a 5 star rating on each & every point you make (28 now), that's what your forum & help are for not a review site such as this ~ BTW - You don't review your own programs Mike. 1 star to make up for the authors many 5 star reviews. If you really want to learn about the weather find local weather stations & learn a little rather than relying on fancy app like programs than this.

Yet again I give the link for Singer Creations forum: - He has a forum & has had one for some time Singer: I don't know have you have the temerity mention my review as your latest one neither mentioned the software either - As for being 'silly' I am waiting for a job to finish so it's no problem at all, personally I feel it's you who are unreasonable absolute & as you are quite happy to abuse this system, that probably says a lot about you? I'm so pleased you enjoy reading my reviews & therefore shall continue in the same manner ad infinitum ~ And that's now 33 five star reviews from you -) The proper 'workaround' is below: - Your very own forum, & actually you are the only software provider that abuses the star rating system on here: This site does not allow people to reply to comments as you well know so stop doing it & live with the fact or use another review site - And each & every time you leave a comment you have to click on the link - 'Write a Review' so, you are fully aware you are reviewing your own product. That's not an option, so this is my workaround'

It would be best if this site allowed people to reply to comments. 'my intention is not to review - but, to reply to reviews in order to answer questions. Mike Singer has given his own program 5 stars 32 times - That's unfair & messes up the system on FileForum because of the way it works - Mike use your own forum for the questions & i'll stop my reviews. I'm sorry but this is a review site, if Mr Singer you don't like negative reviews he ought to remove his software from it - People look at the review then see many stars & assume that many separate reviews have rated it & are influenced by that - The star rating is skewed by Mr Singers constant 5 star reviews, so some sort of counterbalance needs to be in effect - No one tells me to be gone BTW, that includes you ~Īnd because you personally happen to think this software deserves 5 stars does not mean others have to agree with you - Where I live we are still allowed our opinions fortunately.
